Dr. April L. Tyus is a Board Certified Pediatrician who has been practicing in St. Louis since 2002.  She first came to St. Louis as an undergraduate student at Washington University in 1991.  After graduating from Washington University, Dr. Tyus continued her education at St. Louis University School of Medicine, graduating in 1999.  Dr. Tyus briefly left St. Louis to attend the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine Pediatrics Residency Program, located in Springfield, Illinois.     
  
In 2002, Dr. Tyus returned to St. Louis to join the staff of Rainbow Pediatrics.  Dr. Tyus feels that North County is the perfect location for a pediatrics practice due to the diversity of the area.  "Our patients are from all races, cultures, and backgrounds, and I enjoy treating each person with the best medical care possible." 

Dr. Tyus is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Mound City Medical Forum.  She also volunteers in the nursery and Health and Wellness ministries at a local St. Louis church.  Dr. Tyus has helped to organize multiple blood drives in conjunction with the Charles Drew and Sickle Cell Sabbath Programs.  She has also aided in the coordination of several bone marrow drives and health fairs.

Monday:
8:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday through Friday:
8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Saturday:
8:30  a.m. -  12:00 p.m.
